Background
I kicked off my career at Lloyds Banking Group during the 2009 financial crisis, which was a real crash course in how businesses survive tough times. It gave me a deep understanding of debt, equity and the power of strong leadership in navigating uncertainty. I worked with mid-market companies across a mix of industries - Software, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Consumer, getting to know what makes them tick and how they grow.
My passion for backing innovative companies led me to Mercia Ventures in 2009, where I’ve had the chance to work with exceptional founders at the seed stage, helping them scale into high-growth businesses. I’ve been part of successful exits like Genba, as well as backing exciting companies like WorkBuzz and Corrosion Radar, both of which have gone on to raise Series A funding to fuel their next stage of growth.
Based in Birmingham, I focus on seed and early-stage investments across a range of sectors, always on the lookout for ambitious companies with the potential to shake up industries and create real impact.
