Background
I originally trained at HSBC Bank plc and was able to work with many small and medium sized businesses across various sectors, and experience a mix of management teams and business models. I then transitioned to a role in corporate finance, at a boutique advisory firm, focussed on sell-side M&A and raising investment for growth. This helped build my transactional experience and enhance my investor and advisory network.
I decided, given a mix of interest in technology and financial experience, that I would undertake a role at Mercia Ventures, joining in 2018. I have since been fortunate to have been able to lead investments into software, hardware, and science-based businesses, and have enjoyed working with ambitious and driven founders.
My current focus is on finding lean and data-driven management teams, focussed on driving significant value for customers, and to support their ambition to scale rapidly and deliver value.
