Building relationships

I thrive on fostering meaningful connections with founders and diving deep into their businesses to understand the challenges and opportunities they face. What inspires me most is working with entrepreneurs who pair their vision with tenacity, adaptability and a collaborative spirit to scale their ventures successfully.

Background

My journey into the world of venture capital began with a foundation in economics and financial analysis. After earning my degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, I became a Chartered Accountant and spent five years in KPMG’s Deal Advisory team. There, I advised on acquisitions and sales, including buy-and-build strategies, which sparked my passion for supporting ambitious growth plans.

In 2019, I joined the Development Bank of Wales, where I honed my skills in equity investments, particularly in early-stage technology companies.

Since joining Mercia, I’ve focused on investments in technology and consumer businesses, particularly at the early and growth stages. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of supporting innovative companies such as Role Mapper, StudentCrowd, Distil.AI, CanSense, Social Value Portal and TRIBE, helping them navigate their growth journeys.
