The story
Semble was founded to solve a problem that healthcare professionals experience every day: too much time spent on systems, not enough time spent with patients.
After successfully exiting their first business, founders Christoph Lippuner and Mikael Landau turned their attention to healthcare, having seen first-hand how outdated technology was slowing down clinicians and fragmenting patient care. Despite advances in medicine, much of the infrastructure supporting it remained inefficient, disconnected and difficult to scale.
Semble set out to change that.
The company has built an integrated clinical platform designed to connect every stage of the patient journey, from initial consultation through to treatment and follow-up. By bringing together scheduling, patient records, billing and third-party integrations into a single system, Semble enables healthcare providers to reduce administrative burden and operate more efficiently.
Since launching in 2018, the platform has been adopted by over 10,000 healthcare professionals across more than 70 specialties. What began as a solution for independent clinics is now being used by larger healthcare operators looking to modernise their systems and improve how care is delivered.
With growing demand for more connected, scalable healthcare infrastructure, Semble has focused on expanding both its capabilities and its reach. Following its Series B funding round, the business has accelerated its presence in the UK while expanding into new markets, including France and continuing to invest in automation, integration and AI-driven functionality.
At its core, Semble is building more than a clinical system.
It is creating the digital infrastructure that allows healthcare providers to operate more effectively, enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most, while delivering a more connected and seamless experience for patients.
Why we invested
Semble stood out as a company tackling one of healthcare’s most persistent challenges: the administrative burden that pulls clinicians away from patient care.
Founders Christoph Lippuner and Mikael Landau have built a platform designed not just to digitise workflows, but to fundamentally improve how healthcare is delivered. By combining deep interoperability with automation and AI-driven tools, Semble enables providers to connect systems, reduce inefficiencies and scale more effectively across a fragmented landscape.
With strong early traction, clear evidence of impact and a leadership team with proven experience, Semble demonstrated both the technical capability and strategic focus to build the digital infrastructure modern healthcare requires.
