Having been part of Mercia for over two years, with experience spanning both operations and investment, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with a wide range of founders across various industries. During this time, I’ve gained valuable insights into what sets exceptional founders apart. Two qualities that consistently stand out to me are ambition and drive.
Background
I graduated in 2021 with a degree in Economics and kicked off my career in wealth management, gaining hands-on experience across a couple of firms. In 2022, I joined Mercia as a Fund Administrator, specialising in EIS funds. My role involved supporting the investment team, handling deal prep and completion, keeping records in check, and helping shape key reports.
In 2024, I made the move into the Investment team, where I now focus on business development and deal scouting - connecting with ambitious founders and uncovering exciting investment opportunities.
