Building relationships
I’ve always had a natural curiosity and love learning about interesting people and ideas. It is a privilege to work with founders who are trying to change industries. I get excited by companies who work relentlessly to delight their customers.
Background
I didn’t have a strong draw towards a particular industry or field growing up, so my choice of university course (Economics at Warwick) and my first job (Finance graduate scheme at Lloyds Banking Group) reflect a hunt for broad applicability. It was after my move to Cavendish (nee finnCap) in 2017 that I became exposed to the early stage of company growth and I have been hooked ever since.
I have deep respect for anyone who launches their own business and have been fortunate to work with numerous exceptional individuals across my time in advisory and my four years at Mercia Ventures.
